½ cup hot coffee
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (plus a pinch for garnish)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cinnamon sticks
Mugs (for serving)
Combine the milk, canned pumpkin and sugar in your saucepan and heat over medium, ensuring that is does not boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the brewed coffee, pumpkin pie spice and the vanilla extract.
Mix with a wooden spoon until all ingredients are well combined.
Pour the mixture into your serving mugs and top each with a dollop of whipped cream, followed by a sprinkle of pumpkin spice pie and a cinnamon stick.
